Transportation for Persons with Disabilities in New Brunswick

A lack of affordable and accessible transportation is a significant issue for PWDs in New Brunswick (see Beyzak, Sabella, and Gattis 2017; Levesque 2020; New Brunswick 2020). This policy brief first discusses how affordable and accessible transportation is a right for PWDs before contextualizing the situation in New Brunswick. It then proceeds to underscore the impacts of, and barriers to, the lack of transportation for PWDs. Related infrastructure and two accessible transit systems are then profiled. Lastly, policy options for how to move forward are explored.
