Persons with disabilities in NB have significantly lower levels of employment than those without disabilities (New Brunswick, 2019). Furthermore, they are over-represented in low-skill and low-education jobs, typically earn lower wages, and are more precariously employed (Tompa et al., 2020). Higher costs of living and rates of poverty are exacerbated by under and precarious employment. In order for the rights of persons with disabilities to be realized significant change is needed.
