Canada Post’s plan to phase out home delivery creates a barrier that people with disabilities can’t simply “work around.” Community mailboxes assume everyone can travel outdoors, manage distance, and navigate snow, ice, or uneven ground — conditions that are often unsafe or impossible for many disabled Canadians.
