She’s doing a needs assessment survey focused on the experiences of neurodivergents and people with disabilities in the Fredericton area.
The project is part of her placement.
The survey’s titled, Listening to Lived Experience — Disability and Neurodiversity in the Fredericton Region.
The survey will help to gain a better understanding of barriers and community experiences.
It’s designed to help raise more awareness and understanding needed to develop inclusive supports and services.
Participation in this survey is voluntary. It takes only a few minutes to complete. Responses will help ensure that people with lived experience with disability are represented meaningfully and equitably.

New Brunswick residents are in the throes of a devastating rate shock. More than 25% of households are burdened by energy costs far exceeding the acceptable 6% of their income. And this number is expected to surge by another 15% to 20% in the coming few years. This will force families to make impossible choices between basic necessities such as food, medicine and electricity.
This dire situation has already resulted in tragic losses where even medically necessary equipment has been disconnected — leading to fatalities. The loss of even one life this way is unacceptable.
